Improvements Coming to KY 90 in Barren County

3.9 Miles of Cave City Road in Barren County will be repaved this year.

Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Announce Improvement Work on Cave City Road (KY 90) in Barren County
Glasgow, KY (May 16, 2005) As part of Governor Ernie Fletcher’s vision to provide a safe and reliable transportation system, acting Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert announces improvements to Cave City Road (KY 90) in Barren County. Resurfacing will be done from KY 70 to .747 mile past KY 685 making improvements to 3.93 miles of roadway.
"As part of our highway-economic development plan, this road project will improve mobility while providing more opportunities to the people of Barren County and Kentucky," said Governor Ernie Fletcher.
Glass Paving, Inc. of Glasgow, Kentucky was awarded the low bid contract for $820,041.25.
Work is expected to begin this summer and the anticipated completion date is fall of 2005. Construction activities are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
