From Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Highways District 9 (Aug. 8, 2012):

Bridge project finished, US 60 has reopened near Bath-Montgomery County line

Traffic one lane for next several weeks

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. – Work to replace an aging culvert bridge under US 60 near the Bath-Montgomery county line is finished, and the highway has reopened following its closure at mile marker 2 just west of Wildwood Estates.

Kentucky Department of Highways District 9 structures and maintenance crews have worked since July 30 to reopen the roadway – removing the old bridge and replacing it with a new arched aluminum culvert.

Roadway surface work is ongoing, and traffic at the work site will be one lane controlled by temporary signals for the next several weeks.

Motorists should heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones, remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
