Gov. Andy Beshear Will Join Local Officials to Cut Ribbon on New U.S. 60 Cumberland River Bridge in Smithland Next Monday, May 15

Public invited to walk the bridge before it opens to traffic

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 9, 2023) –  Gov. Andy Beshear will join Kentucky Transportation Secretary Jim Gray and local officials to celebrate the opening of the U.S. 60 Cumberland River Bridge in Smithland. The media and public are invited to walk the bridge then join officials for a ribbon cutting and bridge dedication before the bridge opens to traffic that evening, weather permitting.

U.S. 60 Smithland Bridge
Parking will be available along the north side of the bridge at the temporary connector between the new bridge approach and the existing U.S. 60 alignment. 

Overflow parking is available at the Livingston County Fairgrounds across the road
