London-Corbin Airport Gets $12.5M+ for Tornado Recovery
U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers presented a $2 million Community Project Funding check for terminal renovations at London-Corbin Airport and announced more than $6.5 million from FEMA to repair facilities damaged by the May 16, 2025 EF-4 tornado, which caused about $12 million in damage. State Sen. Brandon Storm highlighted another $4 million in state money for the terminal and hangar. The renovated terminal will get a new interior layout, HVAC, windows and restrooms. Officials stressed the airport's role as a regional asset; it served as a hub for emergency operations after the storm.
