The Purple People Bridge, the pedestrian crossing between Newport and Cincinnati, reopened ahead of schedule in early June after closing in May for structural repairs. In September, a new study began looking at ways to get workers to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) more quickly. Early ideas include a new bridge, dedicated bus service and driverless vehicles.
