Overnight Detour on I-24 Westbound in Marshall County on Monday, Oct. 5, Between Exits 31 & 27
PADUCAH, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2026) – Motorists should anticipate an overnight detour on Interstate 24 westbound between Exit 31 (Grand Rivers) and Exit 27 (Kentucky Dam/Calvert City) on Monday, Oct. 5, weather permitting.
This is part of an ongoing work zone on I-24 in Marshall County. Crews were unable to complete work on Friday night, Oct. 2, due to inclement weather.
The westbound-only detour will be implemented between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Detour Route: Take Exit 31, follow KY 453 and U.S. 62 to re-enter I-24 westbound at Exit 27.
Motorists should watch for law enforcement and flaggers directing traffic, allow extra travel time and use caution.
The work zone extends from the I-24 Exit 27 interchange at U.S. 62 to the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge at the Marshall-Livingston County line. A reduced speed limit of 55 mph is in effect in the work zone.
