From Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2:
Southbound Ramp Opening Planned for I-169 at Exit 11 this Week
Ramp scheduled to open by Thursday
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 5, 2026) – The new southbound entrance ramp to Interstate 169 at Exit 11 in Christian County is nearing completion.
The ramp is scheduled to open to traffic by the end of the day on Thursday. The current cloverleaf style ramp being used by southbound traffic will close following the opening of the new ramp.
The Exit 11 project is updating the old cloverleaf style ramp design used by the Pennyrile Parkway to a modern, interstate standard diamond interchange style which includes longer acceleration and deceleration lanes. This work was required as part of the process of upgrading the Pennyrile Parkways to Interstate 169.
I-169 southbound traffic needing to access Ky 1682, will continue to follow the detour to Exit 9, the head back north on I-169 northbound to Exit 11.
