Bowling Green closed Chestnut Street between the U.S. 31-W Bypass and 2nd Avenue on Monday, Oct. 5, while crews investigated a roadway collapse near a stormwater line. The city had warned the closure might last into Tuesday, but crews finished early and the street reopened Monday.
