From Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1:

KY 995/Rice Springs Road in McCracken County is Now Open at Intersection of New U.S. 60
Construction continues on new four-lane corridor
PADUCAH, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2026) – KY 995/Rice Springs Road is now open at its intersection with the new U.S. 60 alignment in western McCracken County. This is located near mile point 0.9 on U.S. 60.
Traffic was shifted onto a portion of the new U.S. 60 alignment near the McCracken-Ballard County Line in early August. As construction continues, motorists should be prepared for various traffic shifts and use caution in the work zone.
Old U.S. 60 remains blocked just west of E. Clarkline Road in Kevil until project completion, which is expected in November.
The project includes reconstructing approximately four miles of U.S. 60 from the existing four-lane highway in McCracken County to just west of Kevil, connecting with existing U.S. 60 at the old "S" curve.
When completed, the new U.S. 60 corridor in this area will be a continuous four-lane highway.
