Lane Closure Planned on Glover Cary Bridge on Monday
One day repair work scheduled
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2026) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to conduct a one-day repair project on the Glover Cary Bridge in Owensboro on Monday, Oct. 19, 2026 beginning at 8 a.m.
One lane of the bridge will be closed while work is conducted. Motorists should anticipate alternating traffic flow controlled by flaggers.
The Glover Cary Bridge, also know as the Owensboro Bridge, opened to traffic in 1940. It carries an average of 7,268 vehicles between southern Indiana and western Kentucky each day.
